After You Have Been Admitted

Follow these guidelines to prepare for your arrival to Rice University after you have been admitted to graduate school.

Stay in contact with your department. Your graduate coordinator will be able to help you resolve any of the issues that may arrise before and after your arrival.
If you would like to register for the housing lottery for graduate students, please visit the website for the Rice Graduate Apartments. The housing lottery usually occurs at the end of May for the following academic year.
Download and submit the Student Health Data Form available from Student Health. This form is typically due on July 1st for the Fall semester (December 1st for the Spring semester).
In most cases, by June you will receive an Esther login letter. Use your student ID number and pin to set up your Esther account. Monitor the "New Grad Student" tab for other important information pertaining to your matriculation.
