Hi! My name is Chi Hun (Will) Choi, and I am a PhD student in the Material Science & Nanoengineering department. I was born in Korea, but I spent most of my life in the United States since elementary school. My research interests are transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and synthesis of metastable or new materials for energy conversion/storage applications !

I love our amazing research facilities, faculties, and students. We, as a team, make a difference in this world!

I love the food, diverse culture, and our cozy atmosphere at Rice.

Why did you decide to go to graduate school?

I wanted to investigate the unknown worlds both small (nano) and large (space). The diverse learning experience that Rice University provides led me to join the graduate school.
