What are you studying: Ph.D in Chemistry

Lul is a second-year Chemistry Ph.D. student in the Hernández Sánchez lab. She is from Minnesota and received her bachelor's in Chemistry and a minor in linguistics at Swarthmore College. She worked in the lab of Dr. Kathryn Riley to develop electrochemistry techniques to quantify the dissolution kinetics of LiCoO2 nanoparticles leaching into the environment.

At Rice, Lul continues using chemistry to address environmental concerns. She is currently working on developing polymers for water treatment. She likes to play ultimate frisbee, run, and bake treats in her free time.
