Student Health Insurance

All degree-seeking students are required to maintain health insurance. Students who do not complete an Insurance Enrollment or Waiver form will be auto-enrolled in insurance. If you already have health insurance and want to waive the Rice Plan, complete the Insurance Waiver form indicating that other coverage is in place. If you are leaving Rice at the beginning of a semester and need assistance identifying insurance options, please contact studenthealthinsurance@rice.edu to learn about your options.

Not feeling well?

The Rice Student Health Services Office provides preventive and outpatient clinical care for all Rice students, regardless of their insurance. Student Health is located on-campus and is dedicated to meeting the unique needs of undergraduate and graduate students, with an emphasis on prevention. Appointments are included in student fees. Additional charges for labs, vaccines, etc. may be paid via cash or credit card, and the office can help students file appropriate insurance claims.
