The National Name Exchange

The National Name Exchange was established to help prospective graduate students make an informed decision about graduate school and to help programs identify students interested in graduate study. The mission of the National Name Exchange is to improve access to graduate education for all students.

What is the NNE?

The National Name Exchange is just that - a name exchange. Students can opt-in to share their contact information with partner universities, to receive accurate and timely information related to graduate study, research opportunities, fee waiver or scholarship opportunities, and more.

There is no cost to participate in the NNE. All prospective graduate students are eligible to participate.

How can I enroll in the NNE?

Visit the NNE site to enroll. The National Name Exchange operates annually, with sign-ups beginning in the spring and closing in late summer. Extensions may be possible; it's best to contact the NNE directly if the enrollment period has closed.
