Meet Rice’s Graduate Ambassador Candela Cicinelli

Cicinelli shares her interest, experience, and advice to prospective graduate students

Rice University

Meet Candela Cicinelli. Cicinelli is a second year master's student in the Department of Architecture at Rice University. Cicinelli is from Argentina and is a Rice Graduate Ambassador. Ambassadors are students who represent the university and help prospective students gain knowledge of student life as a graduate student at Rice.

Cicinelli chose Rice as a graduate school because of her goal to continue her studies and the welcoming environment she felt by engaging with the Rice community.

Outside of academics, Cicinelli is involved with Raw.photography on campus. She loves taking photos and has her cameras with her almost everywhere she goes.

She enjoys eating at Wanna Bao and Tiger Noodle House

Cicinelli advises prospective students to be optimistic about their future and use the resources available to help with their decision-making.

“Trust the process, but also do your research and interview people that have been in your shoes to help you make your decisions,” said Cicinelli.

Cicinelli advises current students to continue making connections with people in the Rice community even though they are familiar with the campus and academic environment.

“You are never too busy to reach out to people and make friends,” said Cicinelli.
