Originally from Amarillo, Texas, Adria Baker received her doctorate in education focusing on the sociolinguistic competence of international students, and completed part of her graduate work at the University of Costa Rica as a Rotary Fellow. She participated in the IEA Fulbright program to France (2021) and South Korea (2013).

She is enthusiastic about working in international education and her greatest joys are time spent with her husband, Ross, and son, Alec.
