I am Andrews Gyane, a PhD student in the Department of Political Science. My area of specialization is Comparative Politics with a focus on female political participation in Africa. I have a great affinity for Rice University because of its stunning landscape, lively student community, cultural diversity, and academic excellence. During my free time, I enjoy playing the violin, watching action movies, and playing games. I am happy to assist potential graduate students in making informed decisions about graduate school.

Why I decided to go to grad school:

My decision to pursue graduate school was driven by my desire to become an expert researcher in my field and to build professional and academic connections.

Favorite thing about Rice:

Beautiful Landscape

Favorite thing about Houston:

Great place to explore
