As the Director of Communications in the Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies, Brandon spreads the word that Rice University is the place for graduate students who want a personalized education while engaging in real-world experiences and groundbreaking research in the vibrant city of Houston.   

Brandon has worked at Rice since 2011. He has a bachelor's degree in mass communications from Lamar University in Beaumont. After college, he worked for over a decade in broadcast journalism, covering stories like Hurricane Katrina and other national news. Brandon is the proud owner of two Lone Star Emmys.

Most days, you can find Brandon with a camera filming and photographing students, postdocs and faculty, creating new knowledge and art. In his free time, he enjoys exploring new experiences with his wife and two daughters, Jenna and Megan. He also loves to talk about sports, movies and music.
