Esteban Ortiz is a Mechanical Engineer with a Master’s degree in Bioengineering. His expertise encompasses the biomechanics and mechanobiology of both hard and soft tissues, with a particular focus on cardiovascular, respiratory, intestinal, and musculoskeletal modeling. He has applied this knowledge to research aimed at understanding the mechanical behavior of human organs, tissues, and cells, as well as to the development of medical devices and tissue-engineering solutions in the United States and Ecuador. Outside his professional activities, he enjoys sports, working out at the gym, painting, and theater.
