Simone is a master’s graduate in Bioengineering from Rice University, where she focused on genetic, molecular, and cellular engineering. Her time at Rice was an incredibly meaningful part of her academic and personal journey. Coming to Houston from Germany as a Fulbright graduate student gave Simone the opportunity to experience a new academic environment, meet people from all over the world, and grow both as a scientist and as a person.

Simone especially valued Rice’s welcoming community and the many opportunities to get involved through student clubs and the graduate student association. She is currently pursuing a career in biotech and would be happy to share her experience with prospective students interested in graduate study, life in Houston, and careers in the life sciences.
