I am a former University of Central Florida undergraduate student who graduated with a degree in Computer Science. During my time at UCF, I developed a strong interest in using technology to solve real-world problems. I am currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Science under the guidance of my advisor, Dr. Ashutosh Sabharwal, where I will be working in the area of computational medicine. I am particularly passionate about applying computer science to fields such as medicine and healthcare to enhance everyday lives.

My long-term goal is to either become an entrepreneur or pursue a career in academia, where I can inspire others and contribute to cutting-edge research. I enjoy leadership and community involvement, and currently serve as the Vice President of the Computer Science Graduate Student Association. Through this role, I enjoy supporting students, building connections, and contributing to the creation of a welcoming academic environment.

Outside of school, I love exploring new coffee shops, spending time at the Galleria, going on nature walks and visiting parks, and enjoying a good meal at Chipotle. As a Rice Ambassador, I hope to share my academic journey, connect with others, and represent the university with enthusiasm, openness, and pride!

Why did you decide to go to grad school?

I decided to go to grad school because my dream is to start my own company, and earning a PhD will help me find strong research ideas, build leadership skills, and create impactful solutions.
