Hi! I am a second-year student in Rice's master of global affairs program, which blends business and international relations. Our program offers a diverse range of classes, from statistics and international business development to energy geopolitics and corporate sustainability. Currently, I am completing my master's degree under a deferral to New York University School of Law, where I hope to specialize in international law (the exact specialty to be determined). My master’s thesis will likely be on some narrowed topic within the multilateral governance of emerging technologies, with artificial intelligence, decentralized finance, or cybersecurity in mind at the moment.
I completed my Bachelor’s degree in 2022 with double major in Biochemistry and Philosophy from Baylor University. At Baylor, I worked in the tutoring center, which I found to be a very rewarding experience. Before starting this master’s degree, I worked full time as an immigration paralegal in Austin, Texas. My current hobbies include playing with and training my German shepherd, painting and drawing, and exercising. I love a good Pilates class ;-).
As a Graduate Student Ambassador, I am eager to share my experiences and insights with prospective and current students. Navigating graduate school can be challenging, but with the right resources and direction, it can be incredibly rewarding! I am here to answer any questions you might have and provide guidance based on my journey. Let’s connect and make the most of your time at Rice!

Why did you decide to go to grad school?
I needed to work on professional development, and this program has really helped me do that. It also gave me the time and resources I needed to figure out what I needed to make the most out of my upcoming law school experience.
