Hi, I am Jiun-Hung Yi from Taiwan. I earned both my B.S. and M.S. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from National Taiwan University, where I also played on the varsity baseball team.

Currently, I am a PhD student in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, conducting research in the Nanoscale Heat Transfer lab. My research focuses on micro/nanoscale heat transfer and carbon nanotube-based materials. Outside of academia, I enjoy outdoor activities and photography.

Why I decided to go to grad school:

I decided to pursue a PhD at Rice to expand my knowledge and research skills and tackle real-world engineering challenges.
