I'm a PhD student in the Systems, Synthetic and Physical Biology program, working with Drs. Lauren Stadler and James Chappell. I'm from India, where I received my undergraduate degree and worked for two years as a Research Associate before joining Rice for my doctoral studies. My doctoral research focuses on understanding how we can better engineer non-model microbes to utilise their strengths in microbiome engineering applications.
In my free time, I love trying new recipes, baking sourdough bread and playing with my cats!

I'm fluent in four languages and currently learning two more!
