I graduated from Doshisha University in 2019 with a B.S. degree. I came to Rice for the first time in 2018 to participate TOMODACHI STEM program. I joined Dr. Martí's group in 2019 to pursue my Ph.D. degree. My research interest is protein aggregation and boron-nitride nanomaterials. I am Vice-President of the Japanese Graduate Student Association, and active with the Chemistry Graduate Student Association.

Favorite thing about Rice:

People at Rice are very nice, it is a beautiful campus.

Favorite thing about Houston:

It is easy to access authentic food and groceries. The airport in Houston has easy access to places all over the U.S. and central/south America countries.

Why did you decide to go to grad school?

Because I liked performing research as an undergrad student!
