I am from Honduras. When I was twelve years old, I started participating in Mathematical Olympiads in Honduras and around the world. That led me to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics at the Universidad de Guanajuato in Mexico, and then a Master's degree at CIMAT, also in Mexico.
Right now, I am pursuing a PhD in Statistics. My research focuses on the analysis of time series (data indexed by time in which we model temporal dynamics). I like talking with people, learning about their experiences, and thinking about other ways to represent the world. I also enjoy mentoring people through my own experiences.
I want to believe that we can change the academic world and transform it into a more supportive environment, step by step.
