I am Hyeyoon Kwon, a PhD student in the Department of Anthropology. My research focuses on how the state-led bear restoration project affects local communities in South Korea. I became interested in human-animal relationships in anthropology, thanks to my cat, Dodo, who came with me to Houston.

When I'm not doing research, I like watching horror movies, playing games, and solo-hiking.
