Hunter, Martin promoted

We are pleased to announce that Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies (GPS) staff members Jennifer Hunter and Tammy Martin have each been promoted; Hunter to Admissions and Visibility Strategy Manager, and Martin to Administrative Assistant.

Hunter joined the office in August 2018 as Communications and Visibility Strategy Specialist. In her new role, she will take on a more active role in recruiting prospective graduate students and promoting Rice's highly-ranked graduate programs, and will provide support for the graduate student admissions CRM (Slate). Hunter will continue to manage the GPS website and social media channels and facilitate bi-weekly newsletter communications.

Martin joined GPS as a temporary staff assistant in May 2019. In her promotion to Administrative Assistant, she becomes the primary staff member responsible for thesis submission and auditing postdoctoral degree verification. She will further support the office with financial and logistical coordination of various special projects and will be the first point of contact with visitors.
