Allen Lou

Allen comes from Taiwan, where he obtained both his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Biomedical Science and Environmental Biology from Kaohsiung Medical University. Currently, he is a second-year Ph.D. student at the Dr. Michael King Lab in the Department of Bioengineering.

His research focuses on non-invasive therapeutics for Glioblastoma via Mechanotransduction. He enjoys exploring bubble tea spots in Houston.

He also likes playing table tennis and tennis on weekends.

As one of the student leaders at Thrive@Rice, he looks forward to helping first-year doctoral students engage with the Rice community as soon as possible. He enjoys connecting with the cohort and sharing his experiences.
