Diana Flores

Diana Flores is a second year PhD student in the Chemical and
Biomolecular Engineering department at Rice University. A member of
the Adams Lab, Diana’s research focuses on combining electrocatalysis
and thermal catalysis to scale up greener chemical synthesis
procedures. She is deeply passionate about sustainability and
dedicated to bridging the gap in access to these critical
technologies. Originally from Ecuador, she completed her Chemical
Engineering bachelor's degree at Universidad San Francisco de Quito.

Outside the lab, Diana is an enthusiastic salsa dancer and singer who
loves going to concerts and listening to live music. You can usually
find her hanging out with her friends or attending various campus
events. In her free time, she also enjoys swimming, trying out new ice
cream spots, and a bit of retail therapy.
