I am Salma Elshabrawy, a PhD student in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Rice University. Originally from Egypt, I earned my degrees in chemical and environmental engineering from Alexandria University.

I am deeply passionate about the environment and love connecting with people from diverse backgrounds. Outside of the lab, I enjoy long-distance running, painting, reading, and exploring new music and movies. I am always excited to make new friends and bring people together, especially when sharing my love for different cultures through the international dishes I cook, or when trying new experiences together.
