In 2022, graduate students Carlos Andrade Eraso, Christian Carmichael, Jiaqi Wang traveled to Colombia for a research project related to coffee production. The trip modeled and analyzed the processes necessary to increase organic coffee production in Colombia, and worked with the Federacion Campesina del Cauca (FCC) to do so. This research trip was generously funded by Rice alumnus Walter Loewenstern.
