Alan received his B.S. in Applied Physics at Benemerita Universidad Autonoma de Puebla (BUAP). He is a third-year Ph.D. student in Applied Physics under the supervision of Dr. Jun Kono. His current research is about light-matter interactions using cavity Quantum Electrodynamics engineering.

Why I decided to go to grad school:

For me, it was a natural path to follow after my undergrad, as I am very passionate about new discoveries. In particular, I think that quantum mechanics is full of questions that need to be solved in order to have better technologies for the future.
