Diana Heard serves as the first point of contact for all Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies visitors. She supports the office in many ways, including (but not limited to) handling expenses and requisitions, outreach activities and special projects, routine communications, event support, and day-to-day logistics. 

Diana has worked at Rice since February of 2015 and has lived in Houston nearly all her life. She spent her 20s and early 30s raising her two youngest siblings while working full-time and is proud to see them explore the many opportunities life has in store for them. She loves visiting hobby shops, secondhand bookstores, and Honey Art Cafe (founded by Rice alums!!) and spends a lot of her spare time reading and playing video games.
