University: University of Minnesota - Twin Cities

Madelyn completed her bachelors of science in psychology from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities. Prior to becoming a doctoral student, she was a clinical research coordinator at the N. Bud Grossman Memory Research & Care at the University of Minnesota studying Alzheimers & dementia. Madelyn is a first year Doctoral Student in Cognitive & Affective Neuroscience in the Department of Psychological Sciences. She studies the neurobiological mechanisms of anti-depressants and episodic memory. Madelyn’s work is supported by the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program (NSF GRFP). In her free time, she enjoys being active, watching baseball, trying new food, and hanging out with her dog, Zeus.

Why did I decide to go to grad school:

I wanted to develop a strong set of skills to work in the field of neuroscience and psychopharmacology and I knew graduate school will help me develop and refine those skills.

I can play three musical instruments.
