Hi, I'm a forth-year PhD student in Chemistry department, working on utilizing non-canonical amino acids to improve the therapeutic effects of anti-cancer proteins. I'm from Shandong Province, China and I obtained my undergraduate degree from College of William and Mary. During my free time, I love reading novels, baking, and dancing Salsa! Rice Salseros is one of the most active and popular dance clubs at Rice, and join us for the super fun (and free) Salsa classes!

Why I decided to go to grad school:

I wanted to study cancers and develop treatments against it, and Rice with its connection to TMC is the right place to go!

Favorite thing about Rice:

Rice has the most inclusive and supportive community that nurtures one's research, career development, and personal life.

Favorite thing about Houston:

Such diverse food options!
