Chun-Ying received his bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan and his master’s degree from Washington University in St. Louis. At Rice, he works in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering under Dr. Robert Griffin. His Ph.D. research with Dr. Griffin is focused on chemistry in the lowest part of the atmosphere. He collects air quality data from field campaigns across the United States and uses statistical analysis to understand the composition, sources, and impact of particulate matter. He is glad to talk with students from diverse backgrounds. No matter you are from Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and other countries. Feel free to contact him!
Favorite thing about Rice:
The open environment. Rice provides many place to let students hang out and think about new ideas, e.g. Rice coffee house, Valhalla.
Favorite thing about Houston
