Lucas was born and raised in Brasília, Brazil, where he received his BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Brasília (UnB). In 2018, he joined the Ph.D. program in the CHBE Department and is currently working under the supervision of Profs. Biswal and MacKintosh. Lucas is currently involved in volunteer work aiming to help students from all around the world to apply to graduate programs in the US.

Fun Fact:

I'm a former athlete of the Brazilian national team of Kung Fu.
