Rodrigo Ibarra Garcia Padilla was born in Mexico City, Mexico. He completed his Bachelor's degree in biomedical research from Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (UNAM) where he became interested in neurosciences with a focus on developmental biology. Currently he is a PhD candidate in the Biosciences department working in the Uribe Lab, where he studies the mechanisms involved in neuroblastoma progression in zebrafish.
