Sathvik is a PhD student working in the lab of Prof. Pulickel Ajayan. His interests include 2D materials, the physics and chemistry of their atom-thick arrangements, and applications in new device architectures. He is a 2024 Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Fellow, a 2023 Inaugural Quad Fellow, and a 2021 NSF-RT Bioelectronics Fellow.
Sathvik is also a co-founder of 'EmpathAIse', an AI-based Mental Healthcare Startup selected in the top 2% to be endorsed by the Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub. In his spare time, he learns professional-level Japanese, practices Carnatic Indian music on the Violin, and games on the Nintendo Switch.
He hopes to lead a research group someday, combining confidence and creativity across different disciplines and diverse people.
