Vanessa Espinoza is a Ph.D. student in the Chemistry Department.
Vanessa was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. She earned her B.S. in physics and chemistry from Texas Lutheran University in 2017. Throughout her journey as an undergrad, Vanessa had Summer research experiences at the National Energy Technology Laboratory in Pittsburgh, PA and the National Institute of Science and Technology in Gaithersburg, MD.
In Fall 2018 Vanessa joined the Weisman lab and became a NSF GRFP recipient soon after. Her research is centered around optical tailoring of Single-Wall Carbon Nanotubes.
